• Dear Ken, I just wanted to let you know that my window tinting was installed and it looks great. I cannot believe how much cooler my kitchen and sunroom are now. I was watching the installer while he worked and you could stand behind a tinted window and then move to an untinted window and feel the temperature increase immediately. • I love my blinds from Budget Blinds (I've done all my business with Ken). I have top down/bottom up types since my windows open both ways and they are triple cell opaques, they seem to insulate very well. I also had a roman shade made for a six foot wide window in the kitchen and wooden ones for a bahroom downstairs and a window that faces north east. It's nice to not have all the extra at the bottom you get with out of the box blinds. They also carry the stringless type is you have kitties or Kiddies. I guess you could order the same types from another outfit (Lowe's/Home Depot/Nextday-btw not next day around here), but BB price includes the measuring and installation. I have alot of windows so I've only done them as I've remodeled/redecorated the rooms. It's a little more gentle on the pocketbook that way.

• My reply is a little bit late, given the dates on the postings, but I would absolutely agree that Ken Turing of Budget Blinds here in Southern Maryland is great to work with and I would definitely recommend him. He is very professional, shows up on time, and is very knowledgeable. We have used him for three rooms over two different time periots - for Hunter Douglas products, custom wooden blinds, and some custom fabric roman shades. I would also note that while Budget Blinds offers some nice promotions (if you are looking for a larger product, I would recommend waiting until a coupon hits your mailbox), there are definitely some pricey options they carry as well. I have found that if you are candid upfront about your price range, Ken will advise you in the right direction as well. One thing to note - they can also help you with custom pillows, etc. For example, we ordered some custom pillows that match our roman shades - a really nice touch that I wasn't aware they offered.

Ken is very seasoned at what he does as I purchased an entire house full of wood blinds sight unseen, 15 hours away, completely via the phone. • I would like to take a minute to tell you about my experiences with Budget Blinds, owned and operated by Ken Turing. We have placed multiple orders with Ken and every job has gone well from choosing our product, to delivery and to installation. His commitment to customer service starts at the beginning of the process and continues throughout and well beyond the job. His knowledge of the products and the suggestions he makes for each window situation is invaluable. Our first order consisted of the 3M window tinting to decrease the glare in the house, reduce the heat and prevent rugs and paintings etc… from fading. We have been so pleased with the windows that we tinted in the back of our house that we are now considering doing the windows on the front of the house. The product has done exactly what he said it would do. Our second order was woven woods for the kitchen. Ken brought multiple books to our house so we could look through the samples in the comfort of our own home and see how they matched our furnishings and paint color. He was extremely patient as we went from book to book and then back again. Once we made our decision he ordered the blinds, delivered them promptly and then installed them professionally. Once again, a stress free experience from start to finish. Our third order with Ken was motorized pleated blinds. He again brought multiple sample books so we could see how they would look in our house, we made our selection after much deliberation and he promptly ordered and installed our blinds. We have chosen three very different products from Ken’s sample books and all have been well made and are of a very nice quality. We have had three very successful experiences and I am sure as we continue to make our way through the house Ken will continue to arrive with sample books for us to choose products from.
