Another look at our Signature Series solar shades in a car dealership out in Kenly, North Carolina. Heat was a serious problem here with all the plate glass and high ceilings leaving everyone in the showroom very exposed. But execs and the owners in second floor offices still wanted to be able to see well enough through the outer windows that they had a sense of what was going on out on the lot. The perfect solution was a 5% commercial screen fabric from out Signature Series collection, allowing enough visibility while drastically reducing indoor temps (90+ degrees down to the mid-70s) and brutal glare for those in the showroom.

When a car dealership out in Kenly, North Carolina, called us and asked how they could reduce the heat that built up in the showroom during the summers, often topping out at 90 degrees inside and visibly costing them business because of the discomfort to their customers, we told them solar shades are the way to go. A variety of fabric colors, densities and materials used can achieve many different light filtration and heat control effects. Employees in the showroom were taping posters to windows and wearing hats and sunglasses trying not to get sunburnt and to see computer screens. We put up a 5% screen commercial fabric and they have since enjoyed indoor temps back down in the 70s.

A look back at the terrace at a local country club here in Raleigh, North Carolina, after we put up some exterior shades for them to help reduce the glare and heat in the afternoon when the sun bakes the back of the building without any trees nearby for shade. They have been very happy with their performance as have club members who can use the back terrace after a round or hitting balls on the range without getting too hot or still squinting through sunglasses and with a hat on to see the menu or whomever they are talking to. Exterior solar shades go a long way in making outdoor spaces more usable and far less seasonal while lasting many years instead of a short-term, store-bought shade.

Another look at our Signature Series exterior solar shades at a country club here in Raleigh, North Carolina. We had previously done some interior solar shades on the back side of the building for an office that got brutal glare and some resulting heat all afternoon because it faced the wide open vistas of the golf course. After they saw how effective these were and repeated complaints from club members and pro shop employees about how difficult it was to see, sit and eat out on their gorgeous back terrace because of the intensity of the sun and glare, they asked us to put up the same shade specified for exterior use to withstand the elements and have been very happy with the results.
