We recently purchased a new construction house and needed to get window coverings for the whole house. We decided on plantation shutters at Budget Blinds at the recommendation of a friend. Bruce took his time measuring every window multiple times to make sure they were spot on. He even put up temporary blinds until our shutters were made. Their prices beat out every big box home store in the area. I even considered ordering online and hiring a local installer. Even this wouldn't have beat out Budget Blinds on price. The installation was extremely smooth and professional. It took about half a day for 10 or so sets of windows. Everything was precise and all the debris was cleaned up afterwards. I have to strongly recommend a business for your window treatment needs - BUDGET BLINDS. First of all, don't let the word "budget" fool you - it doesn't mean a cheap, inferior product. This locally-owned and run business has a range of quality shutters, wood blinds, draperies and more! The selection is wonderful and the prices are very fair and reasonable. Bruce and Jody Dolsberry did ALL my blinds when I moved into my home at the end of 2004. I chose the wood blinds. They have been wonderful and look great! (I didn't want the flimsy, cheap-looking kind, but I didn't have the budget of someone who could afford interior decorating!) They have been there for me ever since - almost 11 years! I have made a change or two and broken one because of my own clumsiness. They have been there for me with great service and still treating me as a valued customer. Dear Bruce and Jody, A few weeks ago, Dorie and I started discussing ways to add a little pop to our home since we've been in for five years. An additional living room chair was fun, but our real need was at some of our windows. There was no question about who we would call. You had done the initial work on our entire home, all products and installation. Our hope was that you had not sold your business. You'd think we would have known the answer but the reality is...we've never had a service call after the original installation. We were delighted to talk to you both and to work with Bruce once again making decisions about custom wood cornices that matched our trim design and color. Also, we wanted a more finished look in the master bath. Again, we felt like Bruce's ideas and product rationale fit us so well, we presented him with another problem: a 6' x 6' solid glass window looking into a screen-roofed courtyard. It happens that the window faces west from our kitchen nook. It is beautiful but the late afternoon sun sometimes spoiled the fun. As I write, we are enjoying a solar shade which allows us to see the plantings and water feature but is a remarkable sun glare block. Incidentally, the solar shade is a privacy screen from the outside. We were wondering-will you be selling carpet, flooring or some other good thing in the future? That was a little tongue-in-cheek but we have been delighted with our earlier and our newer purchases. Oh, and we forgot to mention that anyone who enters our master bedroom has eyes drawn to the plantation type shutters and it's always good for an "ooooh".
