Why Budget Blinds of Federal Way

Paul Moorhead and his wife, Cassy, started Budget Blinds in August 2014. Paul loves that each day brings something new as he can work on anything from design consultations to in-home installations.  Being a hands-on owner and seeing that each customer is satisfied and happy is very important to Paul and his family. Growing up in Tacoma, Paul went to Stadium High School and Washington State University, but has lived in Alaska, Wisconsin, Iowa, and even Mexico for a year! As an adult, he came back to the great Pacific North West as it will always be home! When you can't find him working, you will find him golfing, playing basketball, or enjoying CrossFit. He loves working as a team with his wife as she keeps the ship afloat and loves having time at home to spend with their daughter! 

Cassy Moorhead and her husband, Paul, started their career with Budget Blinds in August of 2014 and take pride in the fact that together, they are dedicated to their business and community. Cassy is a native of Covington, but currently resides in Fife and loves calling this area home. Before helping people feel comfortable in their homes, Cassy worked as a licensed massage therapist, helping people feel comfortable in their bodies, so making people comfortable is her specialty! When you can't find her in the office, you can find her hiking, camping, playing volleyball, or doing CrossFit. Spending time with family, especially her daughter and kitty is a top priority and something she is honored to have time to do from home! 

Phillip “PJ” Sablan joined the Budget Blinds team in February of 2021 and is excited to be starting with a family owned local company. He loves seeing new homes every day and making sure each customer gets personal attention to make sure they are happy with their install!

PJ was born in Saipan and grew up in Oahu, Hawaii where he was an accomplished baseball player. He even spent time traveling and playing with the Saipan National team. He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2019 with his partner Chloe and he continues to enjoy playing on a traveling softball team and following his favorite team – the Boston Red Sox.

PJ and Chloe are anxiously awaiting the newest member of their family…a baby girl!

Summer McGrady joined the Budget Blinds team in 2024 and is thrilled to be part of a family-owned business that serves the local community. She enjoys meeting customers, learning about their personal aesthetics, finding custom solutions to their unique needs, and enhancing their spaces with thoughtful design choices.

A native of Washington, Summer served the community as a marketing and development executive at multiple state-wide nonprofits for over 15 years. She then transitioned to residential property development and management, where she discovered her true passion, elevating everything home-related. Summer loves adding value through her expertise.

In her free time, Summer enjoys being outdoors exploring the PNW with her husband, son, and dog; being involved with her son’s many activities; staying active with CrossFit; rooting for her favorite sports teams; and tackling various house projects.
