This year marks a milestone that means the world to us - Budget Blinds of North St. Petersburg is celebrating 10 years of serving the St. Pete community!

When Shaun and I opened our doors in 2016, we had a simple goal: provide exceptional customer service, beautiful custom window coverings, and treat every customer like a neighbor. Ten years later, that mission hasn't changed, but our journey has grown in ways we never imagined.

As we look back on the past decade, we are filled with gratitude for the customers, team members, business partners, and community organizations that have helped make this incredible journey possible.

From Husband-and-Wife Team to Trusted Local Experts

Like many small businesses, we started with big dreams and a lot of determination.

When Budget Blinds of North St. Petersburg first opened its doors in 2016, it was truly a family effort. In the early days, Shaun and I did everything together. We rode along to consultations, measured windows, completed installations, answered customer calls, managed paperwork, and wore just about every hat imaginable.

Those years were filled with long days, lots of learning, and countless opportunities to connect with homeowners throughout the St. Petersburg community. Every consultation, every installation, and every referral helped us build the foundation of the business we have today.

As the company grew, our roles naturally evolved. Shaun focused on consultations, design solutions, and helping homeowners bring their vision to life, while I took the lead on marketing, customer service, and managing the day-to-day operations of the business. That shift allowed us to continue growing while maintaining the personalized service that has always been at the heart of what we do.

What began as a husband-and-wife team has grown into a thriving local business serving homeowners throughout St. Petersburg and the surrounding communities. While we've grown considerably over the last decade, we've never lost sight of what got us here: treating customers like neighbors and delivering an exceptional experience from the first phone call to the final installation.

Meet the Team Behind the Magic

One of the things we're most proud of after ten years is the incredible team we've built.

Shaun continues to bring his expertise, product knowledge, and passion for helping homeowners find the perfect window treatment solutions. Whether he's helping a family select shades for a new home or designing motorized solutions for a downtown condo, his commitment to customer service and attention to detail have helped shape the reputation our business enjoys today.

Kalyn keeps everything moving behind the scenes. From coordinating schedules and managing orders to helping customers navigate their projects, she plays a vital role in creating the seamless experience our clients have come to expect.

Chris brings creativity, product expertise, and a genuine desire to help customers transform their homes. His ability to understand each client's vision helps turn ideas into beautiful finished spaces.

Tony is known for his professionalism and dedication to quality. His attention to detail and commitment to getting every project right reflects the standards we've built our business around.

Rafael is one of the talented installers who helps bring our projects to life. Whether he's installing shutters, shades, blinds, or drapery, he takes pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and ensuring every customer receives the polished, professional finish they deserve.

And while each team member has a different role, we all share the same goal: helping homeowners create beautiful, comfortable spaces they love coming home to.

Growing Alongside St. Petersburg

Over the past decade, St. Petersburg has experienced incredible growth, and we've been fortunate to grow alongside it.

We've watched neighborhoods evolve, new communities emerge, and downtown continue to flourish. Throughout that growth, we've had the privilege of helping thousands of local homeowners enhance their spaces with custom window treatments designed specifically for their homes and lifestyles.

From historic bungalows in Old Northeast and Historic Kenwood to waterfront homes in Snell Isle and luxury high-rise condominiums downtown, we've been honored to play a small role in so many beautiful homes throughout our community.

As design trends and technology have evolved, we've expanded our expertise in motorization, smart-home integration, custom drapery, shutters, shades, and innovative solutions designed for Florida living. But while our products and services have evolved, our commitment to personalized service has remained exactly the same.

What makes us most proud isn't how much we've grown—it's that so much of that growth has come from referrals, repeat customers, and the relationships we've built along the way.
