Beat the Cold Drafts with Honeycomb Shades

It has been so cold here in Jacksonville this winter! Are you feeling an unusual cold draft from your windows like we are? We are blessed that it doesn’t stay around for us like so much of the country. But, if you think you want to consider a window treatment to cut down on the cold air this winter and the intense Jacksonville heat this summer, I have some beautiful solutions for you. 

Honeycomb shades are the best solution to insulate from the heat and cold.  In the winter, they can preserve the heat by 51.1% and possibly more.  In the summer, they can increase insulation from the heat by 78.1%. 

They have a much smaller headrail than many window treatments which lend them to be great solutions for tight spaces.

If you already have window treatments on your windows that you love, these honeycombs (also referred to as Cellular) shades can often be installed behind existing shutters and shades.  This would, of course, depend on the depth of your window frames.  We have installed honeycombs behind shutters and roller shades for increased light block and for insulation.
