A Dream Collaboration: Working With Brittainy Tiffany on Three Street of Dreams Homes
One of the best parts of participating in the NW Natural Street of Dreams is the opportunity to work alongside talented local builders, designers and other industry professionals.
For Michelle and the team at Budget Blinds of Tualatin Valley and Oregon City, this year’s tour also brought the opportunity to collaborate with Brittainy Tiffany and the talented team at Tiffany Home Design on three very different homes: Stillwater Vista by TimberRidge Development, Open Sky by Sitara Homes and the inaugural HBA Home built by Mountainwood Homes.
“Brittainy has an incredible eye for bringing all the elements of a room together,” Michelle says. “She understands that window coverings are not simply something added at the end. They are part of how the entire room feels and functions. I loved working with her and her team to find the right solution for each space.”
Tiffany Home Design Staged 12 Street of Dreams Homes
Brittainy Tiffany and the Tiffany Home Design team staged an impressive 12 of the 27 homes featured on the 2026 Street of Dreams tour.
That meant working with different architectural styles, builders, color palettes and homebuyers in mind. Each home needed its own personality, yet every room had to feel finished, inviting and ready to inspire visitors.
Staging a Street of Dreams home involves much more than placing furniture. The scale of each piece, the combination of colors and textures and the way visitors move through the rooms must all be carefully considered. Even the smallest details contribute to the home’s overall story.
Brittainy and her team have a gift for balancing beautiful design with a sense of livability. The finished rooms feel elevated and memorable, but they also help visitors imagine what it would feel like to live in the home.
How Do Window Coverings Fit Into the Design Process?
Window coverings can change the way an entire room feels. They soften strong architectural lines, manage natural light, provide privacy and add another layer of color or texture.
Michelle worked closely with Brittainy to select window treatments that supported the design of each room without competing with the architecture, furnishings or views.
Some rooms called for natural woven materials. Others needed the softness of drapery, the convenience of motorization or the practical benefits of a custom blackout solution. The goal was never to use the same product throughout every home. It was to choose the right window covering for each space.
Home #8: Stillwater Vista by TimberRidge Development
Perched above Oswego Lake, Stillwater Vista is a 5,890-square-foot retreat built by TimberRidge Development. Walls of glass, soaring ceilings and remarkable water views make the home’s connection to its setting one of its most memorable features.
Brittainy’s staging brought warmth and dimension to the expansive architecture through carefully selected furnishings, natural materials and layered textures. The interiors feel sophisticated but comfortable, allowing the lake views to remain central to the design.
Budget Blinds installed motorized woven shades in the primary bedroom, where the natural texture complements the landscape while providing convenient light and privacy control.
In the dining room, custom drapery panels with gold hardware bring softness and elegance to the space. Motorized woven shades were also selected for the mudroom and powder room, carrying the home’s natural materials into its smaller, hardworking spaces.
The window coverings enhance Brittainy’s design without overwhelming it—exactly what a successful collaboration should accomplish.

Home #10: Open Sky by Sitara Homes
Open Sky by Sitara Homes is a three-story custom residence overlooking the Willamette Valley in West Linn. The 6,794-square-foot home combines distinctive architecture with spaces designed for entertaining, everyday living and wellness.
In the primary bedroom, Budget Blinds paired custom drapery with textured motorized roller shades. The drapery brings softness and movement to the room, while the roller shades provide practical control over sunlight and privacy.
The primary bathroom features dramatic black shower tile, beautiful lighting and natural Horizons woven wood shades made from reeds and grasses. The shades were lined for privacy and equipped with Zigbee motorization, allowing them to be adjusted without reaching across the bathtub or other fixtures.
The woven texture adds warmth to the room’s bold finishes and connects the interior to the natural landscape outside. It is a beautiful example of Brittainy and Michelle finding a solution that serves the design while also addressing how the room will be used.

Home #22: The Inaugural HBA Home
The HBA Home at Serres Farms in Oregon City has a special purpose. Built by Mountainwood Homes with contributions from members of the Home Building Association of Greater Portland, the home supports the HBA’s work in housing and workforce development.
Pacific Lifestyle Homes provided the floor plan, Icon Construction developed the lot and numerous HBA members donated their products, labor and professional expertise.
Budget Blinds of Tualatin Valley and Oregon City donated all the custom window coverings for the home at no cost to the HBA.
In the primary bedroom, motorized Collections & Co roller shades are layered with custom drapery panels from the Inspired Drapes Collection. Another bedroom features a large Collections & Co blackout shade created for its unique window configuration.
Custom drapery panels add softness to the front bedroom, while the laundry room includes a motorized roller shade from the Budget Blinds Signature Series Collection. Motorized shades with convenient wand operation were also selected for the kitchen.
Working with Brittainy and Mountainwood Homes, Michelle helped ensure that each window covering contributed to a cohesive, welcoming home while meeting the practical needs of each room.

What Makes a Designer Collaboration Successful?
The best results happen when builders, designers and product specialists communicate early and understand the overall vision for the home.
Brittainy brought an understanding of the furnishings, fabrics, colors and feeling she wanted to create in each room. Michelle brought her expertise in window coverings, including how different materials filter light, how much privacy they provide and which operating systems work best for a particular window.
Together, they were able to consider both appearance and function. Would the room need privacy at night? Should the treatment frame the view or provide blackout coverage? Was the window difficult to reach? Would natural texture or soft drapery best complete the design?
Answering those questions together led to window coverings that feel like part of the original plan rather than an afterthought.

Visitors naturally notice the architecture, furnishings and finishes when touring the Street of Dreams. Behind every room, however, is a team of people sharing ideas, solving challenges and paying close attention to the details.
