LOFT SLEEPING SPACE WITH BLACKOUT CELLULAR SHADES
Our Duluth client's grandchildren were finding it difficult to sleep in late at the cabin with the amount of sun streaming in the windows. Blackout Honeycomb shades were the best solution for his skylight windows. These pictures were from a bright sunny day. Now the children can sleep late, and Grandpa will be able to relax and enjoy his coffee in the mornings on the deck, in peace and quiet.
Commercial Solar Shades
These solar shades, installed in Duluth, were the perfect addition to this assisted living center. They only needed sun control and not privacy, so Budget Blinds recommended these stylish shades where the residents can still see out to the beautiful view.
Trapezoid Window with Wood Shutters
Real wood shutters are a great solution for specialty shaped windows. Here you can see that plenty of light streams into the room, yet it is easy to completely shut it out when you need to. See following slide for the same window.

Real wood shutters are a great solution for specialty shaped windows. Here you can see that plenty of light streams into the room, yet it is easy to completely shut it out when you need to. See previous slide for the same window.
A great way to cover your sidelights! No cords and an elegant way to control your privacy.
Dark Stained Plantation Shutters
This distinguished home called out for only the best quality products. The dark stain on these shutters matched beautifully with the woodwork next to it at the bar area.
Tri-Light Shades with Contemporary Drapery Panels
Our homeowner wanted to block all the sun at times in this room, yet at other times provide just a little privacy without blocking her view. These wonderful "Tri-light Shades" were a perfect match. Note the sheer fabric on the top filters the light, provides some privacy, and still allows you to see the great outdoors. Then the bottom portion is total blackout. The shade allows you to use either one, part of each, or lift it to the top and it disappears all together. Coupled with the Faux-Silk Drapery Panels the room was "finished".
Vertical Honeycomb under a Soft-Fold Roman Valance
This vertical application of a honeycomb shade is a modern alternative to the standard vertical blind, and allows the entire view to be preserved. The shade can be pushed all the way to the side and takes up only 6 inches. The valance completes this door and gives the room that finished look it needed.
Top-down, Bottom-up Honeycomb Shades
This cabin is on a lake and our client needed privacy from all the foot traffic around the cabin and also boats on the lake. A top-down option is the perfect solution allowing sunlight in, while maintaining privacy where needed.
OUR OWN INSTALLERS
Here at Budget Blinds we use our own installers. They are professionally trained to be able to install Window Treatments as simple as horizontal blinds, as complex as a bay-window shutter, or as delicate as draperies. We do it all! We do it professionally and as timely as possible.
Woven Wood Shades with Panel Track
Our client didn't want the traditional look of a vertical blind on the door. Panel tracks give any sliding door a modern and sophisticated look. We tied the room together by putting the same woven wood material on the windows and in the valance over the door.
Home Theater Room Makeover
Our client needed complete darkness on the door and windows in his basement home theater room. This blackout vertical cellular shade with drapery valance and panels were the logical choice. No light escapes, and he enjoys many days with family and friends watching their favorite features.
Window Shadings with Pinch Pleated Drapery Panels on a Decorative Rod
Pinch pleated panels add elegance and class to a formal living area.
Shaped Cornice Box
Our homeowner needed to coordinate colors with the valances already in the home, but wanted a different style. This shaped cornice box keeps with the traditional look, but sets the room apart as another living space.
White Wood Blinds-2"
Our client wanted to upgrade his rental from the standard "mini-blinds" you most often find. We recommended 2" wood blinds. They provide a wide open view, look great, and don't break the bank!

This home office gets a sophisticated, professional makeover with these beautiful stained wood shutters. Note how we matched the trim perfectly. They have a wide open view and allow loads of natural light through. The homeowner decided to leave the upper transom window unobstructed since privacy there wasn't an issue.
Hunter Douglas Silhouette
Privacy is needed at the front door, but not always. These Silhouettes filter light, block it completely, or disappear altogether into the top headrail. A versatile, elegant choice for any setting.
Flat Fold Roman Shade and Katherine Valances over Wood Blinds
The valances over the wood blinds add a pop of color to this breakfast area. The same fabric was used on the door in a lovely roman shade to coordinate the entire look.
Flat-Fold Roman Shades
Here our client didn't want to cover their beautiful wood work and wanted something that would go with the "period" of the home. They chose inside mount roman shades to add softness and fashion without covering up the beautiful wood.
Plantation Shutters in a Bow Window
Plantation shutters give a wide open view and increase the value of any home. This has an optional "hidden" tilt rod.
2" Wood Blinds
Wood blinds come in a variety of wood stains and whites. Here the white matches the trim of the window perfectly and keeps everythng neat and clean- looking in this modern dining area.
Laurel Valances by Signature Series
Our homeowner on Lake Vermilion didn't want to distract from their gorgeous view, yet the window lacked the finished look they wanted. These laurel valances were the perfect choice to add style without obstructing their views!
Solar Roller Shades With Remote operation
These huge windows are right on the shores of Lake Superior, and as beautiful as they are, presented the homeowner with a massive sun problem. Fading and radiant heat were a huge issue from the beginning. These solar shades block out 95% of the sun, yet still preserve the view. Note the open shade on the bottom, and this was not a sunny day! All the upper shades are operated by remote control.
Arch Window with Blackout Cellular Shade
Specialty shapes sometimes present homeowners with challenges when searching for window dressings. We can help! In this bedroom sun was the main concern. They opted to cover the windows with blackout shades allowing them to open the shades completely when desired. Total room darkening or total sunshine...your choice.

Get the unique look of ornate iron without the price. Fill in those hard to cover openings!
Blackout Cellular Shades
Our customer here had a huge issue with light. The morning sun came in strong from these East and South facing windows. Blackout cellular shades are the best option for both sun control in a bedroom and insulation. They'll enjoy sleeping in on lazy summer days and lower air conditiong bills!
Contemporary Roman Shades
These stunning Roman Shades add class and elegance to this dining room. Our customer wanted something new and exciting, but not too formal looking in her new home on the river. Here in the down positon they offer privacy and light control, and look fabulous. In the up position they disappear into the headrail and allow for the full view outside.
Shutters by Norman International
Make a statement with the classic look of shutters. Made to fit any size opening, and you won't be disappointed by all the "oo's and ah's" your friends will give you!
Silk Drapery Panels by Lafayette
Real silk is a beautiful choice for drapery panels, but can come at a hefty price. Here we opted to add some extra interlining to give the drapes added fullness without added price. Our customer loved the free-flowing look of the shirred panel on her antique rods.
Specialty Shaped Window with Stained Shutter
The heat and sun coming in this large upper story window was unbearable for our customer in Northern Wisconsin. The best way to cover a special shape is with a shutter. PLEASE SEE THE NEXT PICTURE OF THIS SAME WINDOW FROM ANOTHER ANGLE.
Specialty Shaped Window with Plantation Shutters
PLEASE SEE PREVIOUS PICTURE ALSO.
The same window as the previous picture viewed from the main level of the home. You can see that this was a very large window. Covering it means they can now save a lot of money on heating and cooling. The bottom windows are covered with honeycomb shades.
