WHAT HOMEOWNERS CAN DO: Order the retrofit kit from the Window Coverings Safety Council. The number to call for a free repair kit is 800-506-4636 and the website is www.windowcoverings.org. Replace window coverings in question with a safer option. Adhere to the safety tips available at www.budgetblinds.com/safety. Budget Blinds is NOT a manufacturer, but works with manufacturers that are working with the Consumer Products Safety Commission to address the issue.
