• I am not one for doing reviews, good, bad or otherwise, but my experience with this franchise was so positive, I wish the owners nothing but good fortune. My neighbors did business with this franchise, and that's how I learned about this retailer. My neighbors bought custom faux wood shutters, which is what I wanted also. In the spring of 2010, I contacted this franchise to schedule a consultation. The co-owner Paige accommodated my schedule and got me the appointment time that worked best for me. She spent a solid hour going over options. I never felt rushed or pressured. Since I wanted shutters for a bay window, she contacted her husband Parrish to come out and measure. Again, Parrish accommodated my schedule and took a good amount of time to measure the bay window and discuss options. Fast forward almost a year later, I took the plunge and placed my order. The office staff still had my quote. To ensure that my order was accurate, they suggested another consultation to review the initial quote. I like this because it suggests a commitment to ensuring a successful install and order. Again, the franchise worked to get me an appointment that fit my schedule. Although my quote was nearly a year old, pricing was practically the same. I placed my order and was quoted a lead time of about 4 weeks. Like clockwork, my blinds arrived about 4 weeks later, and the franchise scheduled the install. As expected from my prior meetings, the installers arrived right at the scheduled appointment time. Here is where I really formed my opinion of this franchise. One of the shutters was slightly out of spec. Parrish, the co-owner (and also assisting with the install) pointed out the defect to me and offered to warranty it out. I didn't have to ask or point out the defect. This demonstrates initiative, attention to detail and taking a proactive approach to ensuring a satisfied customer. And did I mention the shutters? Great quality and craftsmanship- and I'm extremely picky. Excellent quality and value for faux shutters. In short, this Budget Blinds franchise exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be any happier.

• Kendra is a very cordial and intelligent young woman. She showed up, efficiently went about measuring and gave me the benefit of a sales event. She explained everything to me clearly, had examples to show of the different materials. She obviously knows her stuff! The shades were delivered within the estimated time frame. Nathan, the installer, very polite, clean, showed up ahead of time, did great job. I had made a comment in passing when Kendra came for the estimate that I wanted to the old fashioned kind of crocheted pull-downs for the shades (expecting I'd have to of course find them elsewhere). When the shades were installed, they came with the crocheted pull-downs on them. Thank you Kendra, you're a great listener!Take Kendra's advice on what products to use. Just use this company!!!

• I very strongly recommend Budget Blinds of West Seattle. I recently moved to West Seattle, purchased a 96 year old house - with paper "staging blinds" that had been hanging in the windows in this adorable house for 6 years. I contacted Budget Blinds of West Seattle as I read many good reviews on Yelp and I wanted to buy locally. Co-owner Kendra listened to my concerns, both the clean look I wanted and the financial restrictions. I did not think I could afford more substantial options. Kendra loves older homes and knew that plantation shutters would look amazing. She measured and quoted both the cell blinds I was sure I wanted, and also quoted the shutters that definitely suited the integrity of the house. I am so happy that I kept an open mind and listened to Kendra - a true professional. The installation of my shutters was done by her husband, the co-owner of the business and a great installer who has been with them for years. Awesome job - very fast and very clean! • I called Kendra because she had helped me re-treatment my whole house a few years ago, and I knew from experience she would spend a lot of time with me, helping me find exactly what I wanted, especially because I just really didn't know what I wanted in the new kitchen space. She is super friendly, personable, helpful, and just always concerned that you find just want you want, not what she thinks you should have. She brings tons of samples, shows up on time, and is very reliable. The company installs the blinds as part of the cost, and they are really concerned with making sure your space is kept in good condition and everything works just right. I had a difficult space this time, with two windows in each section, one had a narrower sash than the other, but the woven wood blinds fit just right, look great and people always notice them.

• I highly recommend Budget Blinds to anyone looking for window coverings. The office staff worked diligently with me in order to schedule my initial consultation, and although they weren't doing home consultations during a specific time frame, they were able to fit me in - going above and beyond what I expected. Paige went through many blind options with me and discussed the premium blinds I wanted and compared them against a comparable brand that saved me money but didn't compromise on quality. Paige understood exactly what I wanted in each room and by working with Paige I was able to determine the most important factor for each window covering we chose (i.e. black-out shade in the bedroom, regular shade in oversized hall window, dual french door shades in heavily used french door, but all in one shade for seldom used french door onto small balcony). This saved we money and allowed me to customize my shade options for each window. I can't say enough great things about the installer (I think he's Canadian). He was very efficient and packed out everything he brought into my house. I swear, half the time I didn't even know he was there (and I had the security company at my house during the same time frame and was also trying to work from home). The installer gave me some great tips and tricks on using the blinds and took time to show me how to properly operate each of the different window coverings he installed. Buget Blinds have a fantastic staff, each person I dealt with was incredibly friendly and personable. I honestly can't say enough good things about this team. They stock a wide variety of window coverings to suit even the most persnickety of people.
