Lori Sitko graduated from U of A with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. After university she worked in the Petrochemical industry as a Project Engineer, successfully managing large and small projects. But Lori had a bigger dream. She wanted to have a career where the work was so much fun she felt like she was not working at all. Here’s what she decided to do: In typical ‘Lori’ style, she decided to leave the petrochemical industry, design her own home and begin working on an MBA degree—all at the same time. Of course, her new home needed window coverings and Budget Blinds was the fifth company to provide a quote. Getting a quote from Budget Blinds was a life changing event for Lori. She may not fit the typical “installer” mould, but with a background in construction and renovation she is more than capable.
