Doug and Kate are the proud local owners of Budget Blinds of Kokomo and Lafayette, bringing a deep commitment to family, community, and exceptional home design to the Kokomo and Lafayette areas. As a lifelong Indiana resident, Doug first joined the business working alongside previous owner John Fansler, mastering the precision and artistry of custom window treatment installations. When John and his wife Debbie (Kate’s mother) decided to retire, passing the torch to Doug and Kate was the perfect way to keep this trusted, family-owned legacy thriving.Beyond delivering beautiful, functional window solutions, both Doug and Kate have spent their lives caring for their community. Kate has dedicated her career to healthcare since 2005 and currently serves local families as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner. Together, they bring a unique blend of technical expertise, organizational integrity, and a genuine passion for taking care of their neighbors.Rooted deeply in Benton County, Doug and Kate are active members of the Fowler United Methodist Church. Above all, they are values-driven owners who love spending time with their four children and two grandchildren. They look forward to helping you transform your home with the same care, reliability, and personalized service their neighbors have counted on for years. -
Corwin Winger
Corwin joined our team, bringing with him skills as an illustrator, designer, teacher fluent in color theory and visual artistry, and former faux finisher/decorative painter. He graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a fine arts degree in illustration and design in 1990. In the Spring of 2021, Corwin started training with Budget Blinds and has excelled as our Style and Design Consultant. Because of his experience as a business owner and with art/design, Corwin is excellent at enhancing the space and atmosphere of your home or business while prioritizing your customer experience as to provide you with the best window covering solution based on your home’s specific needs. And when he isn’t out doing in-home consultations for Budget Blinds, you will perhaps find him gardening, seeking to serve Christ in some way, or spending time with his family.

Jamie Robbins
Jamie is the Marketing and Finance Manager for Budget Blinds of Kokomo and Lafayette, bringing nearly a decade of dedicated brand experience to the team. Jamie first joined the Budget Blinds family in 2017, working remotely as a social media manager.Following the business’s official transition from her father, former owner John Fansler, to her sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Doug, Jamie is thrilled to continue supporting her family’s legacy. With her background in digital media and business operations, she keeps the office running seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring Indiana homeowners stay connected to the latest window treatment trends and exceptional service.Outside of her professional role, Jamie balances her career with a passion for education and family. She is a dedicated homeschool mother to her daughters, and you can frequently find them out exploring on new adventures around their home in Texas.
