Budget Blinds of West Oahu is here to enhance the quality of life of West Oahu residents by providing the widest selection of custom window treatments, competitive pricing, and 5-star customer service. 

We serve the neighborhoods of Waipahu, Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Waianae, Mililani, Wahiawa, and the North Shore of Oahu. We work with the top manufacturers in the industry to provide blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. The Design Consultant will be responsible for providing professional consultation and sales of custom window coverings in homes and offices including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. The ideal candidate will enjoy meeting with customers and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home consultations with home owners and business owners
  • Offer exceptional 5-star customer service and expert design advice
  • Accurately measure windows and place orders for products
  • Document and discuss job details with installers to ensure proper installation
  • Stay involved throughout the sale, order, and installation process, answering customer questions and/or concerns.
  • Follow up on all leads and pending sales to closure
  • Stay current on window treatment trends and product changes
  • Conduct grassroots marketing efforts including networking, home shows, canvassing, creating referral partnerships, etc. 
  • Participate in sales meetings and periodic training
  • Must be reliable when appointments are scheduled arriving on time, and without cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Accurately complete all data input and collect payment using our invoicing system.
  • Avoid errors, double check quotes, and understand product details.
  • Work independently by calling vendors with questions or looking up product information.

 

  • Qualifications:

    • Have an enthusiastic and positive attitude as well as the ability to quickly learn our processes and procedures.
    • Be goal driven with the ability to handle multiple customer priorities while closing sales and meet or exceed sales goals and customer service standards.
    • Demonstrate a knowledge of our products and services, using this to increase sales.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of vendor specifications, meet with vendor sales reps, and attend educational workshops.
    • Training will be provided, but experience and understanding of decorating, design, and décor is a plus
    • Proficient with computer technology, smart phone, iPad, ability to use our pricing tool in the home, credit card processing, and computer software programs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
